VTG Ministry Closes
For the past 16 years, Vacations That Give, a sponsored ministry of St. Marie Province, has been serving people in need of housing assistance in the United States, Chile, Puerto Rico and Haiti. After much prayer and consideration, we regret to inform you that we have made the decision to bring this ministry to a close. This was a difficult choice as we are aware of so many needs that have arisen in recent months. We are confident, however, that the other service groups with whom we have collaborated over the years will continue to ease the burdens of many.
We are grateful to our many volunteers who over these 16 years have responded to our call to serve. Their generosity has helped us to be of assistance to people in material ways as well as in helping them to know the love and care of others. We also believe that this ministry has helped the volunteers themselves as they came to know people in life-situations other than their own. The prayer and reflection aspects that were integral to this ministry also have been sources of personal and communal growth for our volunteers.
Yours in Service,
The VTG Team
